I've joined Preql, a small startup with a big dream, the big data dream. Preql is a semantic layer management system, one of the first to market. I've been working on the core product, the infrastructure and the CI/CD pipelines, stabilizing and maturing the product. Our job is to make your numbers match, so we're working hard to make sure that's what you're getting. I've glimpsed into the data world in my army service, and I'm glad to be revisiting the big data industry at Preql.
Working in Flare, a startup that enables access to affordable and streamlined legal experience, was a real test of my abilities. They're a large b2b2c startup with dozens of R&D employees. Their business customers operate with large pools of lawyers and paralegals in service of the end customer. I've been leading efforts on consolidating the vast and disjointed codebase into a monorepo, designed and implemented the switch to an asynchronous distributed system, created and maintained parallel CI/CD flows, and designed a multitenancy solution.
I've worked at Medflyt, a small but driven startup. I wore lots of different hats, making product, design, and architectural decisions as well as managerial. I've joined a small team of 4 developers, and in a couple of months was already leading new hires. I've got to practice the “get things done” mentality that startups are so known for.
Tenengroup, at the time of my employment, was the biggest Israeli e-commerce company according to Facebook ads. They had over 30 international brands, with systems across the whole supply chain. I've worked on Tenengroup's data streams, integrations, stores, backoffices, supply and manufacturing systems.
In my army service I've got to develop interactive BI dashboards, that provided intricate analytics across multiple topics such as budget, logistics, and human resources, aiding users to easily gain insights and draw conclusions from the data. Millions of data records were delivered to users on a hourly basis. I also got to work with lots of talented people who strived for excellence, and strengthened my ability to work in a team.
